Advancing Global Health Security and Biopreparedness

The Defense Strategies Institute (DSI) 9th Annual Joint Civil and DOD CBRN Symposium held at the National Harbor on June 8-9, 2021, convened experts from across the government and military to discuss their role in preventing the acquisition, proliferation, and use of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear weapons.  Dr. Asha M. George, the Commission’s Executive Director, participated in a panel discussion focused on Advancing Global Health Security and Biopreparedness.  She shared insights from the Commission’s reports regarding coordinated defense against, and the response to, these biological threats.
